Small Iridescent Ammonite

From a locality famous for its brilliantly colored ammonites, the present 70 – 75 million-year-old specimen is even more vibrantly colored than most, displaying radiantly flashing reds and greens. The stunning iridescent covering is known as ammolite and is one of only two fossil materials classified as a gemstone (the other is amber.) Measures 8 x 8 x 2in
