Carcharhinus leucus, the Bull Shark, is the only shark that can swim up rivers regularly. The most dangerous shark alive today, the Bull Shark is responsible for more human deaths than the Great White. Living in tropical and subtropical oceans, it grows to little more than 12 feet.

Carcharhinus obscurus, the Dusky Shark, is a common, costal-pelagic, inshore and offshore warm-temperate to tropical shark. Living in the surf zone to well offshore, the largest Dusky Shark found was about 13 feet long.

Sphyrna mokarran, the Great Hammerhead Shark, can grow to 20 feet in length. Living in the circum-tropical oceans of the world, these strange looking sharks are expert predators. This is a jaw of a small individual.

Eugomphodus (Carcharius) taurus, the Sandtiger Shark, is a common littoral shark in temperate to tropical waters. Approximately 10 to 11 feet in length, displaying long, menacing teeth, it ranges from the surf zone, shallow bays and around coral and rocky reefs. Though it has a reputation as a man eater, this is far from the case.
