Upper Middle Paleolithic – 15,000 – 30,000 years old
Sahara Desert
Probably used as skinning tools, these blades were surface-collected in the Tenere Sand Seas of the Sahara, just north of the Termit Massif in the area of Gossolloram Bo area. Bifacially worked from large, thin flakes, the blades were derived from a dark quartzite outcrop. The very delicate workmanship appears to be that of very late Mousterian culture.(2) Longest 5in
