Hymenaea protera

Displaying a veritable microcosm of a prehistoric rainforest ecosystem, an amber specimen includes: a complete Hymenaea protera flower (the extinct plant from which the pre-amber resin is produced), two Hymenaea protera stamens, a complete beetle (possibly Cantharidae) and a beetle larva (possibly Dermestidae--found in upper right corner on side opposite of flower near end of flower stem). Offered in a Riker mount. Weighs 2 grams Measures 1 x 3/4 x 1/2in
