Los Lamentos, Chihuahua, Mexico
From a famous mineral locality, the Ahumada lead mine, in the Los Lamentos District, in northeastern Chihuahua—a district which derives its name from the mountain range in which it is located due to the sound made by the wind passing through the caverns. A highly aesthetic, very three-dimensional and very large cabinet specimen, complete and viewable from all sides. Consisting of typical classic caramel colored blocky crystals of wulfenite on a white quartz matrix forming a rich, colorful contrast. The crystals are quite lustrous with excellent color. Measuring 6 x 5 ½ x 3 ½in
