From the artist, to the present owner
The writer, Truman Capote, interviewed Bobby Beausoleil in prison at San Quentin for material he published in his 1975 book, Music for Chameleons. Beausoleil, a follower of convicted mass murderer Charles Manson, is serving a life sentence for the torture slaying of a musician at his Topanga Canyon home.
