A collection of Bud Abbott-owned scripts from his films

Fifteen bound scripts with titles gilt printed on spine and cover with the name "Bud Abbott" gilt printed at lower right. Nine scripts are gilt-printed blue cloth, quarto, and six are full calf. These are Bud Abbott's (of Abbott and Costello fame) personal final scripts of 15 of the famous duo's classic comedies. Notable among the titles is 1940's "One Night in the Tropics" which, although not a winner at the box office, garnered such positive reviews, with its tantalizing excerpts from their best comedy routines including "Who's on First", earned them the reward of making the cash cow "Buck Privates," which really launched their movie careers. Other titles include: "Rio Rita," "Oh Doctor," "Who Done It," "Ride 'Em Cowboy," "Keep 'Em Coming," "Hold That Ghost," "Pardon My Sarong," "It Ain't Hay," "Little Giant," "Wistful Widow of Wagon Gap," "Lost in a Harem," "In Society," "The Naughty Nineties" and "Here Comes the Co-eds." Some titles bumped and rubbed, some fading, otherwise generally fine.,
