Handwritten lyrics for the song "Groovin'" by the Young Rascals

The autograph lyrics for the Young Rascals' (who were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997) tune that was a #1 hit in 1967, “Groovin;” one page, legal folio, no place or date, most likely penned by band member, Eddie Brigati, who was the main lyricist. Lyrics read in part:

“A / Groovin – on a Sunday afternoon
Really couldn’t get away too soon
B / I can’t imagine anything that’s better
The world is ours whenever we’re together
There ain’t a place I’d rather be instead of

Groovin' on a Sunday afternoon
Just movin down a crowded avenue..."

This 'feel good' song remains a staple of oldies and classic rock stations all over the country and can still be heard practically every Sunday afternoon on the radio.
