A John Lennon unaired reel to reel radio recording

The two seven-inch reel to reel tapes are from a radio show called "The Crawdoodah Gazette of the Air" that aired in March 1974 where two people interview John Lennon for a period of 8 to 12 minutes; tapes still contained in their original boxes from the radio show.

Some excerpts from the interview include:

Male Interviewer: this fifth edition of The Crawdoodah Gazette of the Air is really loaded. We went down to Music Land, Los Angeles where John Lennon took some time out from his 'Oldies' album to give us a few insights into these crazy times...John Lennon is master media stuntman.

Lennon: Jack off man, jack off.

Male Interviewer:...(we've) uncovered an introspective side of Lennon as contrasted nicely with John’s usually caustic wit and yes, Virginia, there were a few questions about the Beatles .

Lennon: I think I know what I am doing but...I used to do it in the Beatles too, you know, so I would “crack out” or whatever the expression is, trying to sort of survive this as me, you know or whatever manifestation it was, you know, trying to in some way, not to get sucked in, you know, to their advantage.

Male Interviewer: Your new album sounds very happy.

Lennon: Well that’s good, I was just on the phone to England and the guy said, “This sounds so angry” and I said, “are you sure you heard it?"

The interview continues on for a few more minutes with Lennon discussing how he does not regret the drugs he's done plus his thoughts on a few more subjects.
