A John Lennon worn and signed black wool beret

1975, signed in black marker on the inside with his caricature face. The beret was worn by John Lennon at the WFIL Helping Hand Marathon that took place in Philadelphia on May 16-18, 1975. John Lennon donated many articles of his clothing and signed them for this charity. The lot includes an advertising pamphlet about the event, a black and white photograph of John Lennon at the event holding up a pair of his socks and a color photograph of John Lennon with Severino Borgia, who got to know John at this function and later became his assistant/runner.
