A black leather three-ring binder used as the personal West Coast address book for Elvis and the Colonel; compiled and kept by Trude Forsher, the Los Angeles secretary to the duo from 1956 to 1961. This not-so-little black book was used during the production of many Elvis films including "Jailhouse Rock" (1957) and "Love Me Tender (1956);" filled with numerous pages of typed and handwritten names (virtually a who's who of the Hollywood and music industries of the era), this book also contains studio directories from Paramount and 20th Century Fox, business cards and handwritten notations by Trude. Some of the addresses she kept for The King and The Colonel include those of Eddie Arnold, The Beverly Wilshire Hotel (where Elvis frequently stayed), Ernest Borgnine, Bullock's, Milton Berle, The Brown Derby, June Carter, Perry Como, Dick Clark, Rory Calhoun, Bing Crosby, Johnny Cash, Sammy Davis, Jr., Henry Fonda, Eddie Fisher, Glenn Ford, Andy Griffith, Bob Hope, Liberace, Chico Marx, Groucho Marx, Dean Martin, Nudie, Paul Newman, Roy Rogers, Tex Ritter, Roy Rogers, Ed Sullivan, Rod Serling, Nancy Sinatra, Frank Sinatra, Shelley Winters, Hal Wallis and Natalie Wood among many others. Included is a 'letter of authentication' from James Forsher, Trude's son, regarding this piece.
