Gervase Spencer (British, c.1715-1763)

A Gentleman called Sir Harry Grey Bt., wearing blue coat, matching waistcoat, black solitaire, white cravat and powdered wig worn en queue.
Enamel, signed on obverse with initials and dated GS/ 1758, gold frame, the reverse engraved with the sitter's name.
Oval, 30mm (1 3/16in) high

Footnotes

The sitter is probably Harry Grey, 4th Earl of Stamford (1715-68). However the engraved inscription on the reverse of the frame indicates incorrectly that he was a Baronet.
