A mother and child, both wearing white dresses and coral necklaces, the former wearing drop coral earring and coloured headscarf, the latter wearing frilled white bonnet.
Signed on obverse Gauci, ormolu frame with pierced ribbon cresting.

Footnotes

Gauci was a miniaturist and lithographer who lived in London. Schidlof describes him as "a clever artist who worked rather finely".
