With earlier octagonal sighted barrels each slightly swamped towards the muzzle and signed 'Wogdon, London' in script along the top flat at the breech, the latter engraved with two lines of beadwork, silver fore-sights, engraved tangs each incorporating a back-sight, signed border engraved flat detented locks each decorated with a trophy on the tail and with 'French' cock, semi-rainproof pan and roller, figured full stocks (chipped behind one lock) with chequered rounded butts, earlier iron spur trigger-guards by Wogdon each with acorn finial and engraved with foliage on the bow, set triggers, silver barrel-bolt escutcheons, and brass-mounted ramrods (steel parts rust patinated and polished): in contemporary relined and refitted mahogany case with two accessories and later brass carrying handle of Chippendale form, London proof marks
