A Rare Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss-Pistol
By Trulock, Early 18th Century

With two-stage barrel flared at the muzzle and retaining traces of engraved foliage at the breech, plain tang, signed flat bevelled border engraved brass lock retaining some foliate decoration, figured full stock with carved apron around the barrel tang, brass mounts comprising shaped solid side-plate, foliate escutcheon, spurred pommel with cap, trigger-guard with trefoil-shaped finial, turned ramrod-pipe (repaired), and later brass-tipped ramrod (very worn overall, steel parts rust patinated)
