An 18-Bore Flintlock Holster Pistol, And The Parts Of Three Other Flintlock Pistols
The First By Stanton, Jonathon, London, Circa 1760, The Second All Basically 18th Century

The first with three-stage barrel engraved with foliage and 'London' at the breech, foliate engraved tang, signed border engraved lock (cock and mechanism missing, steel and trigger replaced), figured full stock (split beneath the lock) inlaid with silver wire scrollwork around the barrel tang, cast and chased brass mounts comprising trophy of arms side-plate and vacant escutcheon, engraved spurred pommel with trophy of arms butt-cap, and associated trigger-guard with acorn finial (some wear and rust patination overall, ramrod missing), London proof marks; the second each in poor condition (locks, mechanisms and ramrods missing, one side-plate replaced, one stock incomplete) (4)
