A Pair Of 28-Bore Flintlock Pistols
By P. Bond, Cornhill, London, Early 19th Century

With octagonal barrels retaining very faint maker's details along the top flats, tangs finely engraved with foliage, signed flat bevelled locks each engraved with foliage on the stepped tail and with engraved safety-catch and roller, figured full stocks (some bruising, one with split fore-end and repaired beneath the lock) with rounded butts, engraved steel mounts including trigger-guards each with pineapple finial, and original ramrod (the other replaced, steel parts with some wear and pitting), London proof marks and barrelsmith's mark of Edward Bond (2)
