A 50-Bore Over-And-Under Flintlock Pistol
Signed Wogdon, London, Early 19th Century

With twist octagonal sighted barrels engraved 'London' along the top flat, gold line and platinum-lined touch-hole, tang incorporating a back-sight and engraved with a trophy and foliage, signed border engraved locks each decorated en suite with the tang on the tail and with engraved safety-catch, cock, semi-rainproof pan and external mainspring (one repaired) with roller, chequered figured rounded butt, trigger-guard engraved with musical and martial trophies on the bow, vacant silver escutcheon, and brass-mounted ramrod (some light rust patination overall), Birmingham proof marks; together with a steel bullet mould (2)
