A Rare 80-Bore Four-Barrelled Flintlock Box-Lock Tap-Action Pistol
By Collis, John, Oxford, Circa 1785

With turn-off barrels numbered from '1' to '4', border engraved breeches and action, the former numbered from '1' to '3' only, the latter (cock and steel old replacements) engraved with scrolling foliage, signed on one side and with engraved pan-cover lever on the other, trigger-guard engraved with a flowerhead in a diamond on the bow, and figured flat-sided butt with replacement shield-shaped silver escutcheon, private Birmingham proof marks
