With octagonal sighted barrel, serial numbered cylinder, border engraved frame, trigger-guard and butt-cap, all decorated with scrolling foliage, the former engraved 'Adam's Patent No. 9969' on one side and stamped 'Adams 1851 Patent' on the other, spring safety-stop, and chequered rounded butt (escutcheon missing, some wear overall), Liège proof
