A Cased 120-Bore Five-Shot Self-Cocking Percussion Revolver Of Bentley Type
Mid-Late 19th Century

With octagonal sighted barrel engraved around the muzzle and inscribed 'Improved Central Fire' along the top flat in gothic letters, cylinder engraved around the forward edge, foliate scroll engraved frame, trigger-guard and spurred butt, rammer, spring safety-stop, and broadly chequered grips enriched with white-metal nails (some wear and rust patination overall): in later relined and refitted mahogany case (lid escutcheon missing) with James Dixon & Sons revolver flask, Birmingham proof marks
