A 55-Bore Transitional Six-Shot Single-Action Percussion Revolver
By J. Lang, 22 Cockspur St., London, Circa 1860

With octagonal sighted barrel engraved around the muzzle and signed in full along the top flat, plain cylinder numbered from '1' to '6' on the front, foliate scroll engraved action (defective), hammer, trigger-guard and shaped butt-plate, sprung rammer with knurled knop engraved with a flowerhead, and fluted highly figured butt (small repair) in the Continental fashion (steel parts polished or filed bright), London proof marks
