The first converted from flintlock, with rebrowned twist sighted barrels engraved 'Joseph Manton's Patent Elevation' along the rib, engraved breeches with platinum plugs, engraved tang signed 'Chard Croydon' (probably the converter), signed engraved flat bevelled locks (one retaining screw incomplete), figured half-stock with chequered grip and fore-end, engraved steel mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, vacant white-metal escutcheon, and brass-tipped ramrod (steel parts worn and rust patinated); the second similar to the last, signed along the rib and on the engraved locks; the third comprising the barrels and half-stock only of a d.b. gun by Moore & Harris, 21 Gt. Newport Street, London, and the half-stock, mounts and one lock only of a d.b. gun by Bond (converted from flintlock, worn, steel parts pitted) (4)
