A .32 Moore Patent Seven-Shot Rim-Fire Belt Pistol, And A .42 Plant's Mfg. Co, Front Loading Third Model Army Six-Shot Rim-Fire Revolver

The first with octagonal sighted barrel indistinctly stamped 'D. Moore Patent Sept. 18, 1860' along the top flat, cylinder retaining faint traces of blueing, silvered action (defective) sparsely engraved with foliate scrollwork, chequered safety-stop on the right of the hammer, engraved silvered trigger-guard and butt-strap, and rounded grips (in partly refurbished condition, silvering worn thin); the second with octagonal sighted barrel stamped 'Plant's Mfc. Co. Newhaven Ct.' along the raised sighting flat and 'Marwin & Bray. New-York' on the left flat, cylinder stamped with patent dates, brass frame (action defective) and butt retaining traces of original silvering, the former with spur trigger, and rounded grips (one split, cartridge-ejector rod missing, arbor pin replaced, steel parts with some rust patination) (2)
