An 80-Bore Under-Hammer Percussion Rifle
By D.H. Hilliard, Cornish, N.H., Mid-19th Century

With octagonal sighted barrel rifled with six grooves and with stamped signature on the left flat at the breech, adjustable back-sight and further adjustable sprung long-range sight with folding peep-sight, lightly figured butt inlaid in brass with a crude running deer on one side, brass butt-plate and trigger-guard, and no provision for a ramrod
