A Continental 20-Bore Flintlock Holster Pistol, Another Of 25-Bore, And The Parts Of Two Other Continental Pistols
The First Circa 1700, The Others 18th/19th Century

The first with slightly shortened two-stage barrel, octagonal breech, rounded lock (defective, side-nails replaced) engraved with an elaborate mirror monogram on the tail, moulded figured full stock (fore-stock partly replaced), and mounts (side-plate replaced) comprising original spurred iron pommel and 18th century trigger-guard chiselled with a human mask and foliage on the bow (ramrod missing, worn and rust patinated); the second with sighted barrel chiselled with foliage and overlaid with brass at the breech, engraved bevelled lock (cock missing), carved figured stock (damaged, fore-end replaced), and cast and chased brass mounts (trigger-guard missing); the last each in poor condition (locks incomplete or missing, mounts incomplete, ramrods missing, both partly restored) (4)
