With finely twist two-stage barrel with two brass lines around the elliptical muzzle and silver scrollwork around the fore-sight, octagonal breech with two silver lines and decorated along the top with silver-inlaid foliated strapwork, engraved tang, border engraved flat bevelled lock signed on a scroll (signature rubbed) and chiselled with a foliate panel on the stepped tail, cock en suite (top jaw and screw old replacements), moulded figured full stock (some repairs, butt split) carved with foliage behind the rear ramrod-pipe and barrel tang, cheekpiece (repaired), foliate engraved brass mounts (side-plate replaced) including vacant foliate escutcheon in the English manner, and trigger-guard with foliate finial, turned ramrod-pipes, and later ramrod
