A 28-Bore East Indian Co. Flintlock Musket
Dated 1818

With browned sighted barrel stamped with later Indian arsenal mark on one side at the breech, plain tang, dated border engraved rounded lock with engraved mark of the East India Company, figured three-quarter stock, regulation brass mounts including butt-plate cut with a Hindi inscription on the tang, sling mounts with whitened buff-leather sling, and original ramrod; together with a Gras bayonet of characteristic form, the back-edge of the blade dated 1876, in its original steel scabbard (2)
