A .577 1853 Pattern Third Model Percussion Rifle Musket
Dated 1860

With sighted barrel retained by three barrel bands, calibrated folding adjustable back-sight, dated border engraved lock stamped 'Tower' and with a crown on the tail, three-quarter stock with dated circular Birmingham arsenal mark on one side of the butt, regulation brass mounts including butt-plate engraved 'V Wm. 3 109' on the tang, sling loops, and original steel ramrod (steel parts pitted)
