A Russian 12-Bore Percussion Military Musket
Tula, No. 8968, Dated 1839

Converted from flintlock, with sighted barrel (some pitting overall) retained by three spring-held brass barrel bands, the forward one also forming the ramrod-entry, tang with back-sight, dated lock with rounded tail and remains of brass pan, ebonised full stock, dated regulation brass mounts struck with various marks including double-headed eagle mark on the butt tang, sling loops, and steel ramrod
