A French 14-Bore 1777 Model Flintlock Musket
Probably Early 19th Century

With bright barrel retained by three spring-held barrel bands, the forward one carrying the brass fore-sight and also forming the front ramrod-pipe, the breech and tang restamped with 1811 date and model date respectively, flat bevelled lock etched 'M'e Imple de St. Etienne' and signed 'Davide Pedersoli' on the inside, brass pan, full stock, butt with recessed cheekpiece on one side and stamped circular arsenal mark on the other, regulation iron mounts, sling loops, and steel ramrod (worn overall, iron parts lightly pitted and polished bright overall)
