A Lobster-Tailed Pot
Second Quarter Of The 17th Century

With one-piece hemispherical ribbed skull with ring-shaped finial on a circular washer, pointed fixed fall with turned edge and pierced for the movable bar-nasal adjusted by a wing-headed screw and struck with an orb and cross mark at the top, bluntly-pointed neck-guard of four upward-lapping lames, triangular single-plate ear-pieces pierced with circular holes, domed steel rivets retaining their internal leathers, and painted black overall
