A Powder-Horn Relating To The 30th (Cambridgeshire) Regiment Of Foot
Dated 1824

Formed from a section of polished cowhorn and incised in scrimshaw work with decorative borders enclosing 'GR IV' over a crown and within laurels, an interior scene with crossed pipes, a glass and bottle on a table, battle honours for 'Waterloo, Penninsular, Jaulnah and Secunderabad', and the inscriptions 'S. Mc. Clatchey H.M. 30th F', and 'Evil Be To Them That Evil Think', shaped nozzle, wooden base plug, and pierced with two holes for suspension
24 cm.
