Nine Various Detached Mechanisms From Firearms
Late 17th/19th Century

Comprising a German or Austrian mechanism from a wheel-lock rifle, the flat plate with enclosed wheel and engraved with foliage, and sliding pan-cover (cock incomplete); a Henry Nock patent enclosed screwless lock mechanism from a carbine or musket, with flat bevelled plate, and pan-shield; a mechanism from a military musket, the border engraved plate stamped 'P.J. Malherbe & Cie A Liège' and with a crown on the tail; a mechanism from a Westley Richards 'monkey-tail' carbine, the plate stamped 'Westley Richards & Co.', and dated '1867' within a triangle on the tail (hammer missing); a percussion back-action lock from a sporting gun; and four Spanish percussion mechanisms each with external mainspring (all with some rust patination) (9)
