Two Oak Gun Cases
The First By Thomas Manton, 59 Princes Street, Leicester Square, Circa 1815, The Second Circa 1800

The first originally lined and fitted for a d.b. flintlock sporting gun (interior missing), the interior of the lid (moth damaged) with maker's illustrated trade label of circa 1814-16, the exterior with flush-fitting brass carrying handle; the second of similar form, lined and fitted (moth damaged, compartments incomplete) for a flintlock sporting gun, the exterior of the lid with flush-fitting brass carrying handle (2)
91 cm. x 21 cm. and 90.8 cm. x 21.6 cm.
