The first with tapering blade double-edged towards the point, cut with a single fuller over most of its length along the back on each side, and incised with a running wolf mark on both sides of the forte, iron hilt of 'mortuary' form comprising guard roughly chiselled with foliage, slender knuckle-guard connected to two side-guards by two bars on each side, globular pommel with flattened button and roughly chiselled with foliage, and later natural staghorn grip (rust patinated overall); the last of cast-iron, with decoratively pierced blade, hilt with quillons formed as naked demi-figures, a horseman between, globular pommel en suite, and simulated wire-bound grip (2)
