With single-edged fullered blade with hatchet point and stamped with bladesmith's name 'T. Craven' along the back at the forte, regulation steel hilt without langets and with oval piercings, knuckle-guard stamped 'K/54', pommel and back-piece in one, and ribbed leather-covered grip, in its steel scabbard (minor dents and repairs) stamped 'R 5 E 59' on one side at the throat, and with two rings for suspension (some rust patination overall)
