With curved single-edged blade double-edged towards the point and cut with three fullers over most of its length on each side, the forte on one side etched with a panel containing an Imperial eagle and maker's name 'Guzounov' in Russian above a stamped Imperial warrant and the same maker's name, and on the other with a panel containing a crowned cypher of Tsar Nicholas II, and hilt of characteristic form with horn grip-scales (one pommel incomplete, the other chipped), in original leather-covered wooden scabbard (worn, damaged and incomplete)
