The first with curved very finely watered single-edged blade (some minor pitting), gilt-iron hilt of characteristic form decorated overall with flowering carnations (some rust damage) and comprising long pointed langets, button quillons, and disc-shaped pommel with dome finial and pierced button terminal; the second with curved finely watered blade cut with two narrow fullers along the back-edge on each side and double-edged towards the point, and iron hilt (pitted) of characteristic form retaining traces of gold-inlaid floral decoration (2)

The first is almost certainly from the Talpur armoury. The Talpur 'Ameers' rules in Sind from 1783 until annexation by the British in 1843. Of the three branches of the family the most important was that ruling from Hyderabad (Sind)
