A Sumatran Kris, And A Javanese Kris

The first with waved pattern-welded blade chiselled with a partly gilt double-headed dragon on each side of the forte, its gilt tail forming the dada along each side, partly gilt gandja, ivory Garuda hilt (old splits), and gilt filigree mendaq set with garnets and seed-pearls, in wood-lined scabbard with shaped ivory sarongan and silver pendoq embossed and chased with foliage inhabited by birds of paradise along one side; the second with waved pattern-welded blade, and ivory madura hilt carved with foliage and a winged horseman on each side, in wood-lined scabbard with hardwood sarongan (repaired) and silver pendoq (2)
