Three Javanese Kris

The first with straight pattern-welded blade, and carved wooden planar hilt with engraved silver mendaq, in scabbard with highly figured sarongan and white-metal pendoq embossed and chased with flowering foliage along the outside, and with a waved pattern along the inside; the second of similar form, the waved blade chiselled and gilt with a dragon and foliage beneath the gandja, the former with a pearl in its mouth and with its tail forming the dada along each side, the latter chiselled and gilt with foliage, in wooden scabbard with white-metal pendoq (small repair) embossed and chased with foliage inhabited by pairs of birds along the outside; the last with waved pattern-welded blade, and carved mother-of-pearl planar hilt, in wooden scabbard (sarongan chiped) with brass pendoq engraved with foliage along the outside (worn) (3)
