The heavy round sighted barrel with sighting flat towards the breech and flared muzzle, decorated over its entire length with a Ho-ho bird, a dragon, tamas and a Tokugawa mon in silver and gold between two bands of key pattern, brass back-action lock with brass serpentine and pan-cover, black lacquered full stock decorated with Tokugawa mon in gold, brass trigger, and black lacquered ramrod with silver tip
