With sharply tapering blade of hollow triangular section over half its length retaining traces of original etched decoration including a bird above a female figure on one side, faceted hilt with oval shell-guard with separate gilt-metal plaque on the inside cast, pierced and chased with flowerheads and foliage, arms, rear quillon, knuckle-guard, ovoidal pommel with turned button, and grip bound with copper ribbon and twisted copper wire (some wear and rust patination overall)
