Second Half Of The 17th Century
With tapering double-edged blade (light pitting) with central fuller at the forte on each side incised 'Me Fecit Salingen' between a series of 'X' marks and with running wolf mark beyond, struck on one face near the hilt with the Amsterdam mark and with a crowned 'P' on each side, iron 'Walloon' hilt with asymmetrical oval side-rings each originally filled with a pierced plate (missing), downcurved rear quillon stamped with a floret on one side, knuckle-guard with central swelling, thumb-ring, globular pommel with button finial, and original grip bound with twisted steel wire
