A Turkish Silver-Mounted Jambiya
18th/19th Century

With earlier curved finely watered double-edged blade with fullered medial ridge along each side, and waisted fluted hardwood hilt with silver basal mount and pommel-cap each decorated with beaded lines, the latter with filigree border on top, in its wood-lined silver scabbard embossed and chased with flowering foliage against a stippled ground on each side, and with a loop for suspension
