With tapering double-edged blade cut with etched double fuller over each side and struck with a mark on one side at the forte, and slender waisted hilt with dark horn grip-scales divided by a slender nielloed silver strap, and with nielloed silver-gilt mounts chased with foliage against a stippled ground on the outside, in original wooden scabbard covered in plum velvet (some wear) with nielloed silver-gilt locket, chape and suspension mount en suite with the hilt, the former with nielloed Arabic inscription on the inside
