The first with sharply tapering double-edged blade cut with three converging fullers on each side, the waisted hilt (pommel repaired) and wood-lined scabbard entirely covered in nielloed silver embossed and chased on the outside with scrolling foliage against a finely stippled ground, the inner sides nielloed with sprays of foliage, Russian silver marks; the second comprising a black leather belt with watered steel mounts variously encrusted with silver stars and foliage including round and oval studs, one of the latter incorporating a hook, suspension straps en suite and supporting a silver-encrusted watered steel combination tool, and slightly domed box with slender hinged lid, decorated on the outside with encrusted silver portrait medallions of a Caucasian man and woman in contemporary costume (2)
