The first with tapering blade of flattened hexagonal section, hilt covered in silver and comprising turned baluster quillons extending over the forte, chased with foliage and set with a rose-cut diamond, two emeralds and two rubies, tapering grip embossed and chased with female figures and animals against a foliate ground set with gems and pastes in imitation of emeralds, rubies and sapphires, and rounded hardstone pommel; the second with broad waved double-edged blade engraved with a foliate panel on each side of the forte, brass and white-metal mounted hilt engraved with foliage including shaped flat guard, and swelling rounded grip, in original two-piece wooden scabbard mounted en suite with the hilt, the locket with engraved loop for suspension (2)
