The first with tapering double-edged blade reinforced at the point and cut with converging fullers forming a medial ridge over most of its length on each side, characteristic hilt comprising curved side-bars decorated with encrusted brass and copper foliage within copper and brass line borders, and spherical grip flanked by chiselled animal heads and inlaid with copper and brass (worn overall), in later wood-lined red velvet-covered steel scabbard pierced and gold- and silver-damascened with pairs of birds within foliage; the second with slightly curved single-edged blade decorated over its entire length on each side with silver-damascened inscriptions, figures in native costume and foliage, and characteristic silver-mounted hilt with grip decorated with figures in combat against a blackened ground, in original wooden scabbard entirely covered in white-metal sheet (2)
