An Indian Composite Bow, And An Indian Tulwar
Both 19th Century

The first recurved with unusual double nocks, painted overall in polychrome with designs of foliage, mostly against red and green grounds within gilt borders (some loss of decoration, lacquer crazed); the second with curved blade double-edged towards the point, characteristic copper hilt (one langet incomplete, one quillon damaged) chased with flowering foliage overall against a punched and stippled ground, and retaining traces of original gilding (2)
